Early morning we drove to Milbrodale and via scenic Putty Road along Wollemi and Yengo NP to Windsor, where we crossed the Hawkesbury River. We went for a walk in town and a quick stop at the visitor information centre to grab some information on the Blue Mountains. Next we took the Bells Line of Road via Richmond, Bellbird Hill Lookout offering views over Hawkesbury Valley, Kurrajong Heights with views of Sydney in the far distance, Bilpin for a photo of the Big Fruit Bowl, Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens and Mt Victoria into Katoomba, the heart of the Blue Mountains. We walked to Echo Point offering views to the Three Sisters and afterwards stopped at the various Cliff Drive Lookouts: Queen Victory, Eaglehawk, Landslide, Narrow Neck and Cahills Lookout giving different views over the Jamieson Valley. As the Katoomba caravan park was full we had to drive to Blackheath.
