Day 310 – 23rd December 2011
Beach Retreat Tourist Park, Wynyard, TAS
We had a bit of a sleep-in this morning. It’s so good to be back in our little home! We did some washing in the attempt to get rid of the smelly socks (it appears they will need a second wash J) and packed away our hiking stuff, before hitting the road again. We had a quick look at Waratah and continued on to Burnie via Hellyer Gorge. At Burnie we did some necessary grocery shopping and had fresh rolls for lunch (a luxury after 8 days walking in the bush). We stopped at the Upper Burnie Lookout before filling up with fuel (on the radio they were warning us that fuel might be very hard to get in the smaller towns over the Xmas break) and moving on to Wynyard. We checked into the caravan park and took a walk into town along the beach and Inglis River.
