Day 46 – 3rd April 2011
Boranup Campground, Leeuwin - Naturaliste National Park, WA
Lazy day today, slept in then drove into Hamelin Bay which is basically a caravan park on the beach, that’s it. Went for a swim at Hamelin bay, saw several large stingray swimming along the waters edge feeding off the ocean floor, Nele got a good photo of one of them. Decided to have a look at the lookout which provides views of NP and then moved back to where we camped last night. Boranup Campground. We’ve decided to walk the leg from Cape Leeuwin to Hamelin Bay tomorrow (26km) where we have organised a taxi to take us to the start at Cape Leeuwin.
