Tim’s Place, Hobart, TAS

Day 323 – 5th January 2012
Tim’s Place, Hobart, TAS

We got up early to line up for the first ferry and avoid another waiting queue. On the way to Roberts Point we stopped to have another look at Big Hummock Lookout. Back on Tassie’s mainland we drove to the summit of Mt Wellington where we enjoyed great views over Hobart and beyond (and a freezing cold wind!). Next we drove into Hobart and decided to give the van a good clean (in and out), before going for a leisurely walk around the city. We walked from the harbour to Battery Point where we had a nice lunch at Jackman & McRoss.  Late afternoon we drove to Moorilla to visit MONA (Museum of Old and New Art) where Wim Delvoye, a Belgian artist was one of the main exhibits. Afterwards we did some grocery shopping before catching up with Tim, a friend of Nele’s. Thanks Tim for the lovely dinner and great night!
