The Neck Campground, Bruny Island, TAS

Day 322 – 4th January 2012
The Neck Campground, Bruny Island, TAS

It was pouring when we woke up so we turned around and snoozed a bit longer. Not long after some sun started to come through the clouds so we got up and drove to Cape Bruny on Labillardiere Peninsula where we first had breakfast before tackling the steep hill up to the lighthouse and strong winds that almost blew us over. Next we drove to Jetty Beach and went for a walk along the short Luggobine Circuit, offering great coastal views (4.7km circuit – 1h). We continued on to Cloudy Bay for lunch and a short walk to Whalebone Point Lookout. Next we took the Coolangatta “Mountain” Road to Adventure Bay with stops at 2 lookouts along the way. At Adventure Bay we walked to Grass Point and Fluted Cape offering views of Penguin Island and the coast (5.4km loop – 2h15). We returned to the Neck Campsite for the night.

    1. Hi David & Julie

I think we just sent you half a response, not sure so here it is again or maybe not.

Sorry we haven't written earlier as it's been very hectic since we got back to Adelaide, settling back into working life, looking for a house, going to Belgium in a few weeks and of course planning a wedding - YEAH.

Hope life is going well for both of you. We had a quick look at your blog and noticed you've been back on the road since March. Hope you are enjoying the travelling again!

We are trying to finish of the blog as our computer broke down in the last month of our trip. We had good intentions to finish it of immediately when we got back home and the computer was fixed but as so many good intentions it didn't really work out as planned :-)

As you might have read in our blog we had a great year! We saw many wonderful places and look back to many good memories. It will be interesting to see where you will be going and to relive our memories in those regions.

Take care and enjoy the good life.

      Love, Nele and Andrew
