Stanley Cabin & Tourist Park, Stanley, TAS

Day 312 – 25th December 2011
Stanley Cabin & Tourist Park, Stanley, TAS

We enjoyed a long sleep-in this morning. After breaky Andrew did some blogging and Nele read up about things to see and do along the West Coast of Tasmania. Around midday we climbed The Nut to enhance our appetite (3km return – 45min). The Nut is an ancient volcano that’s been extinct for 13 million years. Back at the caravan park we enjoyed our Christmas lunch – fresh prawns with a salad and crusty bread, accompanied with a glass of sparking wine. Yummy! After lunch we relaxed and watched a movie. Late afternoon we went for a stroll to the harbour and across town to Godfreys Beach. In the evening we had some nibbles for tea and skyped with Nele’s family to wish them a Merry Xmas.
