Day 93– 20th May 2011
Karratha Roadhouse, Karratha, WA

Drove back to Karratha to stock up on food and fuel for the next days when we head inland. After lunch visited the North West Shelf Venture Visitor Centre (Australia’s largest oil and gas resource development) on the Burrup Peninsula. Quit interesting so worth a visit if you are in the area. Continued on to Deep Gorge to look for Aboriginal rock art. A bit of searching on the rocks but you will find plenty to view if you spare a bit of time here. We found paintings depicting kangaroos and other animals. Headed back to Dampier to have another look at their beach but nothing spectacular. Stayed the night at the Karratha Roadhouse car park, as we want to leave early tomorrow morning to Millstream Chichester NP. A bit of a noisy place to camp as a lot of trucks fill up here and they come through till late in the night.
