Today the weather was nice so caught the ferry in the morning with our bikes to Rottnest Island. Explored the island by bike (22km return), had a snorkel and a swim. It’s a pretty place and ideally we would have wanted to stay a bit longer. The bike ride around the island took up most of our time (arrived at 11am and had to leave again by 4pm) and we could have enjoyed the many beaches a bit more. A longer stay at the island would also make the ferry cost more worthwhile ($190 for 2 with bikes), assuming the accommodation on the island is not too expensive.
