Day 83 – 10th May 2011
Point Quobba Campsite, WA (North of Carnarvon)
After reading in several brochures last night that 1 km South from the blowholes there is supposed to be a nice quite beach where you can actually snorkel, we investigated the place a bit more and noticed that indeed near the shacks and the start of the campsite they bay is a lot more quite (campsite is quite stretched out and we only found a spot at the far end last night – we know now why all spots at the beginning were taken!) and therefore decided to stay another day. Went for a drive to Quobba Station and the coastline further north before returning to the campsite. Relaxed all day by reading a book and going for a swim. What a life!
