Day 276 – 19th November 2011
Corindi Beach Holiday Park, Corindi Beach, NSW
We started the day with a morning swim, before driving to Maclean, a town with a Scottish heritage. We drove through town and up to the lookout with views back to the coast. Next we crossed the Clarence River and took the tourist drive along and over (a short ferry ride) the river to Lawrence and on to Grafton. Afterwards we drove back to the coast to Wolli, a tiny coastal town nestled in Yuraygir NP. Wooli is only 2 streets wide with the ocean to one side and the Wooli Wooli River to the other. We continued on to Diggers Camp, but discovered that the campsite here only opens in school holidays. We had a look at Boorkoom Campsite in the national park but decided to move on. We went for a short walk along Wilsons Headland, before driving to Minnie Water where we had a stop at the Tree of Knowledge Lookout and the local beach. Not convinced we should stay here either we continued on to Corindi Beach, where we enjoyed an evening swim.
