Silver Sands Holiday Park, Evans Head, NSW
We had a bit of a lazy morning today. First we treated ourselves to a beautiful breakfast at Shellys at the Beach Café. Afterwards we went for a short stroll along Lighthouse Beach before going for a swim. Next we drove into town to visit the tourist info centre and Andrew caught up with a colleague at the local GHD office whilst Nele went for a walk in town. Ballina is a nice coastal town, we like it! Afterwards we followed the tourist drive inland to Alstonville and Wardell to return to the coast via Broadwater. At Broadwater NP we stopped to have a look at long Airforce Beach, before continuing on to Evans Head where we decided to stay for the night. We enjoyed a leisurely evening walk along the coast and river and will explore the place a bit more in the morning.
