Day 138 – 4th July 2011
Burdulba Campsite, Kakadu National Park, NT

We started the day with a 6.5 km Sandstone and River bushwalk (6.5km loop – 2h) past floodplains, billabongs, sandstone outliers and the river. Next we drove back to Cahills Crossing as Nele discovered there was an actual viewing platform, which we missed yesterday. Some silly fishermen where fishing on the causeway – I guess they believe no croc will harm them. Apparently the day before a croc was climbing over the rocks towards a fisherman but luckily some onlookers yelled to warn him. No sympathy from us if one of those fishermen gets taken by a crocodile! We stopped at the lake in Jabiru for lunch. In the afternoon we visited the Bowali Visitor Centre with informative displays and videos on the national park’s fauna and flora.
