Greens Beach Caravan Park, Greens Beach, TAS

Day 300 – 13th December 2011
Greens Beach Caravan Park, Greens Beach, TAS

This morning we booked our transport to get back to the van at Cradle Mountain after finishing our walk at Lake St Clair. It’s been quite tricky to organize this as we are finishing the walk on a Friday and no public transport runs that day. On top there is no bus going back to Cradle Mountain in 1 day on other days anyway. So we have decided to charter a bus (not cheap) and hope to maybe meet other walkers along the track that have not made final arrangments and could travel with us to reduce the price. Afterwards we drove to Beaconsfield where we met up with a friend of Andrew’s parents. Next we continued on to Beauty Point for lunch and on to Greens Beach where we drove out to Narawntapu NP and walked to West Head Point. At the caravan park we did a practice pack of our backpacks to check if we could fit in everything for the walk. It will be tight but after a couple of days it should get better when we have eaten some of the food. We got some good tips for other walks from our neighbouring campers who saw us pack and informed where we were going. There are a lot of nice walks in Tassie but we’ll see first how we we’ll go on this one!
