Mersey Bluff Caravan Park, Devonport, TAS

Day 299 – 12th December 2011
Mersey Bluff Caravan Park, Devonport, TAS

Early morning we were woken up as the boat was due to arrive at Devonport at 6.30am. Not much later we were driving off the boat, as we were lucky to be parked at the front, and after a quick quarantaine border check we drove into Devonport town. We were both still a bit tired so decided to park the van near the river and had a little snooze. Late morning we visited the information centre, treated ourselves with a coffee and chai and afterwards went food shopping. After lunch we did some sightseeing by going for a drive to the river mouth, the lighthouse and some local beaches. Late afternoon we did some prepacking of food to take on the Overland hike. Afterwards we checked in at the caravan park and did our laundry. All food and clothes are ready to be packed!
