Point Quobba Campsite, WA (North of Carnarvon)

Day 82 – 9th May 2011
Point Quobba Campsite, WA (North of Carnarvon)

Drove into Carnarvon this morning and had a drive around town (The Fascine, Heritage Precinct with the One Mile Jetty and the OTC Dish). Had lunch at Miaboolya Beach which was supposed to be on the way to the Blowholes, but unfortunately the road was closed to continue on after the beach so we had to backtrack. Although Miaboolya Beach gets great reviews in the brochures we weren’t that impressed. A nice beach maybe to spend more time than just for a lunch spot? Had a look at the Blowholes before setting up camp at Point Quobba. Tried to go for a swim but quite a rough beach so were not very successful.
